Mitt Romney’s comment in last night’s debate about “binders full of women” probably isn’t helping his reputation among female voters. Nor is this video by MoveOn.org released earlier this week.
Liberal political group MoveOn.org recently released the above video explaining Romney’s position on some of women’s most important rights and issues, and telling women to vote for Barack Obama. The 30-second spot directed by noted filmmaker Rob Reiner and starring Scarlett Johansson, Eva Longoria and Kerry Washington explains the tenets of Romney’s position on women’s issues, including that he plans to end funding to Planned Parenthood, including cancer screenings, and that he wants to overturn Roe v. Wade. More broadly, the video states, Republicans are redefining rape, referring to the shocking statements made by Rep. Paul Ryan and Rep. Todd Akin. The video will air nationally in the battleground states of Colorado and Virginia during shows primarily viewed by women.
