Fox News Launches Online Women’s Magazine, Reads Like Annoying Pinterest Board

FOX News recently launched a daily online magazine targeted at women that reads like an annoying Pinterest board full of inane, rhetorical questions and unimportant advice. Some of the top pieces include:

The fluffy content is reminiscent of the trite information offered on the pages of Cosmo, preying on women’s supposed fears and  reinforcing the idea that women’s only thoughts concern how they look and men. Not only is the subject matter of the content weak, but the material itself is lacking. A read of the potentially promising “Dating Tips from ‘The Millionaire Matchmaker’” includes only two sentences of advice at the very bottom of her interview, which are: 1) “Nothing good happens after 11 PM” and 2) “Always leave him wanting more.” Wow, thank you!

Maybe it’s just hard taking FOX News seriously when it comes to any advice for women considering some of its previously sexist journalism. At the very least, FOX gets that women enjoy Pinterest’s image pinboard theme!
