Here are some other things you should know about Quincy:
Truly defining the word ‘entertainer’, the young star makes constant strides to revitalize the entertainment industry with refreshing new trends, charisma and a contagious personality. Quincy Chad was born to immigrant parents who instilled values of discipline and hard work early on. At age 2, he alongside his Trinidadian family, moved to Brooklyn, New York in pursuit of better career opportunities.
Although the city of dreams had a stage waiting for him to shine, it was not until he pursued and flourished as an all-conference college football player at Wesleyan University that he acknowledged the call. The starting linebacker at Wesleyan notes that football not only intensified his craving for the spotlight on the field, it increased his desire to pursue a career outside of a corporate structure. After sustaining injuries that left the football star to revisit a career in the NFL, his flame for acting was reignited and he embraced it wholeheartedly. He landed his first starring role as the lead in August Wilson’s historically acclaimed play “King Hedley” and shortly thereafter was scouted for the part of Clay in the production of Amiri Barakas “The Dutchman”. With his growing success as a dedicated actor on and off campus, Chad did not have to think twice about moving to New York to pursue a career in acting immediately after graduation.
Upon his arrival to the big city, he obtained immediate success and received offers to sign with several management companies. He continues to enhance his gifts and remain an active pupil by attending various acting classes with prominent acting professors and casting directors alike. His successes include but are not limited to New York and LA independent films “Blood Run Free”, “Forever Ink” and a supporting role in Ezna Sands’ riveting drama “Theo”. Aside from film and theatre he shines as a guest star on TBS’ comedy sitcom “Are We There Yet?” and CBS’ highly aclaimed television series “A Gifted Man”. Quincy Chad is currently embracing his next role in front of the camera and using his passions and creativity to direct several shorts behind it. He has snatched the attention of independent filmmakers and other actors who are eager to aid his burgeoning vision as a director and writer. Relentless in his pursuits, his positive energy and focus will undoubtedly keep him running to higher heights. Catch him if you can.
